March comes in like a lion

Indeed.

I can't believe it's already the 3rd month of 2017.

So updates updates..

Chinese New Year came and went. As usual I went back to my hometown. The only difference is we don't stay in our grandparents house anymore because our parents have their own place!

A place we can call home.

It feels good to be home, because the place that I'm currently staying with my sister doesn't feel like one.

Which comes to the 2nd update, which is we recently moved to a slightly cheaper place, and a bigger place. With help from a lot of people I will remember.

Anyways, we lost Tiger about a week after CNY holidays ended. He was already looking sick, but I'm happy that he got to see all of us for the last time. Even though I think I wasn't such a good parent to him, but it does make me happy that he showed some of his love towards me even when I don't layan him that much.

News on my favourite band, UVERworld!

Takuya is a father and Shintarou got married! Read here and the newspaper cutting which is from the link:

おめでとう!

You can read Shintarou's message at their official website here, although there wasn't any 結婚 word in the article hmmm..

News on my other favourite band, RADWIMPS!

They recently announced an Asia tour for South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Thailand! Two shows in Taipei and Seoul each! So jealous! Details at their official website~

I'm still undecided whether to go to the one in Bangkok since it's on a Thursday. Would love to go to either Seoul's or Taipei's shows but I need to save money for a trip to Singapore the month after.

Tickets for Bangkok's are priced at 2,200 baht each, which is a little bit less than RM300. I'll decide on the day it goes on sale on 1st April.

I have many things to update but I can't put my words together..

But I'll try my best!

Til my next post then!

Hallo October 2016!

Hie readers!

...

I'm gonna cut the chase and just update my life here lah.

Pokemon Go:

Latest eats:

Madame Waffle at One Utama, yesterday.

Might or might not put them in one of the Food Roundup posts, been slacking on that too. :P But the waffles were quite good, but they're not your ordinary waffle sizes. A little bit small for me haha.

Music:

Been into RADWIMPS a lot lately. Like A LOT. It's been a while since any Japanese band caught my attention since UVERworld. I'm still considering whether I should purchase their album which is due to be out end of November, as the limited version has a DVD containing performance from their 10th year anniversary concert last year OR their ×と○と君と (Batsu to Maru to Kimi to) DVD, which contains most of my favourite songs from them (but not their latest DVD)!

After going through their albums, I've decided my favourite song is 有心論, which was released in 2006 (lol wtf 10 years ago hahaha the video is also a bit lol go look for it!)

Life in general:
  • I still have no love for my job. I just do it for the pay, and until I can figure out what's next for me.
  • One good friend got proposed recently, one friend who got married in 2014 is currently 3 months' pregnant.. and I'm still single and considering to stay single for the rest of my life. LOL.
  • Planning to go to Tokyo next year if my finances allow it. Or anywhere I can catch UVERworld and/or RADWIMPS in concert.
  • I still have no idea what's my aim in life.

I guess that's it for now! Gonna end with this video:

September-san by RADWIMPS from their Ao to Mememe DVD. If you watch properly Yojiro Noda had braces on! :O #eagleeye

Adios 2015!

my #2015bestnine on instagram, 2 posts on UVERworld, not bad eh?

So another year is leaving. A new one is coming in in less than 4 hours.

I would looooovvvvveee to do a long recap, but I can't remember much I did.

And to make matters worse I only started actively blogging in the second half of the year.

Honestly, I lost the passion for blogging for a while.

Until I went to Japan and it gave me a reason to right about my favourite country LOL

2015, was nothing much. It has its ups and downs. I think it was more of a year of recovery? Especially from all that shit my family went through. Still recovering, but I hope it'll come to a closure real soon.

Some (little) highlights!

Had weddings the first 2 days of 2015:

One was my cousin, Jesica's in Malacca, which was actually for the groom's side and their friends. They already did one at our hometown end of last year.

The other one was Selene's:

#tmselene got hitched!

I actually had a funny video for the ceremony above. Maybe I'll post on their 1st anniversary hahaha

The Random Quartet

My first trip overseas after 2 years of not going anywhere was to Siem Reap, Cambodia, which I have not finished blogging about. I'm not sure if I will evah! *cues evil laughters*

Read here and here first loh.

It was our first trip together as a quartet, after being friends for more than 10 years wtf. Hope to be able to take on more adventures before we begin our own families!

Me and Osakajo

I returned to Japan in June, covering Osaka (again!), Nara (again!), Kyoto and Kobe. Posts will be up in 2016!

And welcoming a new addition to the family, Jesica's and Keith's offspring: Emily!

November baby as well. Like me. November babies are awesome.

So yeah. That's it. I'm sure there are other things. Oh I started compiling food adventures by month, so be sure to check my monthly food roundup posts.

As for 2016, for now all I can say..

Just come lor.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EBERIBADEE!

Ohai 2.

I know I have been a very bad blogger lately. Been wanting to post so many things such as my cousin's wedding, Selene's wedding, my first trip with The Random Quartet (that's what me and my close three friends call ourselves, because we're so random wtf) to Siem Reap, Backstreet Boys' concert and also my 2nd Japan trip.

YES.

I went to Japan last June!

It wasn't for UVERworld lives though, it was just a normal trip.

Stayed in Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe, but managed to say hello to the deers in Nara too. :D

Will try to post asap!

And i've deleted most of my drafts, because I don't see a point in posting anymore LOL.

And my laptop's damn sssssllloooooowwwwww that photo editing/watermarking is a pain in my not-so-cute butt.

Til then, bai bai.

Pssssttt. Why not just follow me on Instagram, easier lor.

Follow follow!

Sorry for the absence.

Since today is UVERworld's Akira's 31st birthday, I shall be a good blogger.

And provide a teaser for future posts.

I visited Angkor Wat!

If I feel like posting lah.

If not y'all can follow me on Instagram at @weenangeline and see what I've been up to lately.

I suck at writing.

..which explains the lack of posts nowadays.
-__-

sorreh eberibadee.

I realised that I have to write more to be good at writing.

Got caught up to write about a topic by one of the higher managers (although I was NOT supposed to write, just feed her information, but ended up me writing wtf %^&#@!) and I found out I could not even string proper sentences without making myself sound lame.

So pissed off with myself lah.

I guess I have to do something about this.

as a start haha

Here's to more writing!

*clinks imaginary wine glass*

Nijyuuhassai dayo.

So..

My birthday came and went.

Started off the day by watching Christopher Nolen's Interstellar starring Matthew McConaughy and Anne Hathaway. Matthew was so good in the movie, while I find Anne so-so, but super love her black short crop!

Tickets were courtesy of Golden Screen Cinemas, won them through their FB page LOL

Overall, I think it's a good movie. Although it's lengthy, I find the movie very interesting. The possibility of Earth coming to an end and the human race living at other planets/galaxies? The movie managed to convince that it can happen.

Sci-fi, as real as it can get.

Did nothing much after that, except for dinner with family.

My sisters made me a card and got everyone to write messages.

I didn't even realise they misplaced 日 and 生 LOL

The best part about the card is...

How cute is that?!

It's a bit hilarious how they picked the photos of the band with serious expressions but match them with comical bodies. But I'm really happy of the effort they put in making this card, and of them knowing what is the thing that makes me happy.

Anyways, I don't really have much wishes except for me and the people around me to be happy. I had a shitty 27th year of my life, and I don't want history to repeat itself.

And I just wanna be a better person.

More traveling and more UVERlives won't hurt either!

:P

Simple pleasures in life

Check out the contest to win weekly prizes of Jacob's products and the awesome grand prize!

When I received a notification on Churp Churp on one of their latest campaigns, Jacob's Simple Pleasures, my mind immediately flashed to my university days whereby how Jacob's crackers gave me such simple (eating) pleasures (eh!) when slathered with a good amount of Lady's Choice Peanut Butter and Chocolate stripes (other flavours just don't cut it).

I'd always end up purchasing the Low Salt High Fibre ones instead of the Cream Crackers, to balance out the creaminess of the spread. And of course at that time, my only income was my PTPTN loan (LOL!), they were my food alternatives when I get bored of the makcik's food in front of our hostel area or have hunger pangs while studying (yeah right) or just wanting to snack on something but not anything unhealthy (note: junk food), I'd end up reaching for my crackers which would be in the big tin.

When I ran out of the crackers I would buy the ones in the packets to refill the tin (cheapskate save money mah) and dump them into the tin. Since I've started working I don't buy the crackers anymore because I can go out for lunches/to buy lunches, except for that one time during my 6-month programme when I needed some snacking during free time.

Inspired by that campaign, I'm gonna talk about some of my simple pleasures in life. I said some because I might end up missing stuff since I can be absent-minded at times.

1. A good cup of coffee

I call myself a #coffeeholic (no, not hashtag coffeeholic, just coffeeholic, but I placed the hashtag, because..it's my blog and I can do it!). I drink coffee almost everyday. Wait almost? I think I drink everyday including weekends! On weekdays, I will drink a cup, somewhere in the middle between breakfast and lunch. When days get crazy I can end up drinking more! On weekends, I would drink in the morning and usually when I'm out. And I am always on the lookout for good canned coffees! So far my favourites are from this Japanese brand called UCC. :)

sorry for the awful photo quality, it was taken with my old phone and this is the Instagram uploaded one.

More the reason I should submit a photo for the contest to win the espresso machine, no?
*starts digging for potential prize-worthy photos*

2. Listening to my favourite song(s)

I hardly listen to the radio when I drive. My car comes with iPod plug-in so my trusty 4th generation iPod Touch gets abused more! Most of the songs are quite old, I don't keep myself updated with new songs unless they're from my favourite artistes or some random songs that I like a lot.

It's like a therapy really. Sometimes when I am not in a jolly mood, certain songs can just lift up my spirits and make me smile again. Some songs can just get me superhyper even when I'm in a good mood and it will end up multiplying my good mood!

You can see that I've put up a list of my favourite songs of the moment on my sidebar, but honestly there are tons more!

Like currently, one of my faves is this acoustic cover of UVERworld's 7日目の決意 by Aiemu, which is just damn beautiful. I mean of course I love the original, but this I gotta promote as well.

And also Taylor's Swift Shake It Off.

It's just a fun song lah although I'm not like her biggest fan. Ok I am not a fan haha but I don't dislike her or anything. I do like some of her stuff but I wouldn't call myself a fan.

I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake
Shake it off
I shake it off
*dances like a crazy lady*

3. Books

I'm not what you would call a bookworm. I used to read A LOT when I was younger. When I like a certain book I can finish it off in a day or too. Now I can't do it anymore, the most I can do is read maybe 3-4 chapters in one go if the book is really, really interesting.

4. Eating

My favourite gelato is the one from Cielo Dolci

Isn't it the best pleasure in life? I'm basically a glutton, I'm sure I was born to eat, not to eat to live. I'm happy when I eat, especially good food.

my mom's khao jam (nasi ulam) - we call it nasi kerabu though

Nando's Chicken Breast Fillet Burger with coleslaw and peri chips

rambang mata

Sakae Sushi's grilled salmon belly - a favourite

I know of a friend who eats a lot when she is stressed/angry/upset, but immediately after eating her meal (appetiser + main dish), she would say, "Ah I feel much better now, not so angry/stressed/upset anymore" and goes back facing her challenges as if nothing happened.

Talk about food therapy.

So I hope I can inspire you all to write about you favourite simple pleasures in life too! Head on to Jacob's Malaysia FB page to participate in the contest if you're interested!

Celebrate your simple pleasures! *cheers*

Hallo!

It's been a while.

I have so many things I want to write about but everytime I get in front of my laptop and start typing I'll..

(a) start feeling sleepy;
(b) start looking at stuff to add into my online shopping wishlists;
(c) get distracted by the mosquitoes attacking me and start having a war with them; and

most of the time it's a winning battle for me

(d) end up with not knowing what to write.

So. I'm doing all four alternately right now.

Next timelah.

And yeap, I've change my blog name yet again. I guess coffeeholicclumsyglutton was just too long to say. And it makes watermarking photos a pain in the ass.

Was contemplating of starting a new blog.. but I don't know. There's a lot of things I like to go back to sometimes.

:)

Snipped my own fringe!

Note: This will go down in history as the first post with the most photos of my face. You're welcome.

The last time I cut my hair was probably end of last year during my birthday month, and after that I didn't bother doing anything because I miss having long hair (especially the one during my uni days) and I wanted to feel girlier more ladylike.

*rofl*

I got really annoyed of my lifeless/dull/fine hair, but I really didn't want it to be short anymore!

Because having supershort boycut hair makes it difficult to dress up in skirts and dresses TT

And I have my cousin's wedding on New Year!

I have super wavy hairy and the ends always curves up sometimes i feel like an auntie.

One day I saw this:

from Park Bom's instagram

and I thought it's so cute!

It took me a while to decide whether I should cut my bangs, I didn't think it was worth the money to head to a salon just get my bangs cut.

And I love wearing headbands when I put my hair up, just because I feel like they balance out my face.

I have fat face, so cutting short is not an option for now.

So I waited.

Then I randomly googled "how to cut own fringe"

And the rest is history.

I only watched this video as a guide:

Her hair is so nice :3
So I went from this:

to this:
I'm quite happy with the result, although I wish I didn't rush it (the impatient me triumphed again wtf)
The next morning I cursed myself a little bit because I didn't know what to do with my hair and since I sweat a lot it made my hair flat.
So last Monday was Monday blues + bad hair day + fat day wtf.

Survived a steamboat dinner with friends though. :)

Yuen Steamboat, Zenith Corporate Park, Kelana Jaya
Here are the remaining workdays selfies from last week (and you can exchange greetings with my horrible dark undereyes):

Tuesday

Wednesday (must have been a grumpy one, hence only one photo)
Thursday

Friday

I still have itches once in a while to go really short, but I thought I'll wait until I slim down a little first. Whenever that is lah. Haha.

Christmas Wishlist

Top on my list will be attending UVERworld Premium Live on Xmas concert, which will be held in 日本武道館 (Nippon Budokan), Tokyo just like last year. It will be their 5th (I think) show in Nippon Budokan.

full tour info available at: http://uverworld.jp/arena2012

So far no announcement of live cinema screening like last year's show. T ^ T

Was so hoping that they would do, and add Singapore (or Malaysia!) into the list so that I can at least watch it live.

But, there's only 6 days left, so I think there wouldn't be any. Plus, if they did, it might end up being a big-ass scale show, and then a DVD must be released.

Which is impossible since they are releasing a DVD of their 2012 show in Yokohama Arena.

Hmm.

...

Wait scratch that. Make it an all-expense paid trip to Tokyo to watch the show.

That would be nice.

Other than that, I don't have anything else on my Christmas wishlist.

LOL.

This is just a filler post.

Mwahahahaha.

The Blabs #3/2012 - Short updates!

My last post was two months ago, and it wasn't the last post about my Japan trip. I have another one coming up, but I've been too lazy editing and watermarking my photos - something I used to enjoy doing so much for my blog.

Maybe it's my usual writer's block-phase, or maybe it's just me being lazy.

I will try my best to complete the post, as a closure on my Japan trip.

* * *

One of the things I enjoy doing nowadays is attending my basic Japanese language class, which happens once a week on Saturdays.

My きょうし is a younger girl called あや(Aya) and she's such an adorable character! She loves drawing on our homeworks - simple drawings of flowers, rabbits and smiley faces, complete with praises like "すばらしい" or "かんぺき" or "いいですね" with red ink.

I like learning the language. Initially I wanted to take up the language to enable me to read my Japanese mags (long way to go though!) and song lyrics (obviously) but now, I realised that it actually helps me in understanding dramas better as well!

I wish I had taken it earlier before I went to Japan, at least I would have known to say "日本人じゃありません" instead of "日本人じゃない" where the former is more proper and formal. I hope I did not piss any Japanese off when I said the latter. LOL.

* * *

I am still a fan of UVERworld. Haha. Even more so after the release of THE OVER. I wanna go to their concert again! There 7th album will be released end of this month, and of course I've pre-ordered it.

Well if I do have the money and time I would go to watch them again next year, but I'm afraid I need to be sensible and prioritise other things first.

I wish the band would venture outside Japan, I mean, ONE OK ROCK went to Singapore, MIYAVI came to Malaysia, YUI had her hotel tour in Hong Kong (ah this girl I want to see as well) and Perfume will have their show in Singapore end of this month..

SONY MUSIC JAPAN Y U NO BRING UVERWORLD OUTSIDE JAPAN??!

*sighs*

Tomorrow is the drummer's birthday!

I love it when artists have birthdays near mine, it makes me a little proud somehow.

Today's BIGBANG's TOP's birthday!

* * *

I wanted to blog about something serious but I can seem to find the right words.

Hmm..

Saturday, June 02, 2012

(Almost) Halfway Through

It's the sixth month of 2012!

*gasps*

Omg how time flies!

Let me reflect on what happened the first 5 months of the year:

.

..

...

I'm pretty sure I did some things, but I can't seem to recall any.

*scans through blog posts from January til May 2012*

I finished blogging about my Seoul trip! :P Took me long enough (like what, 7 months?) that I felt like just stopping but I figured I should finish it. Glad I did, because everytime I read the posts on my trip, I couldn't help smiling and reminiscing the happy times!

Oh I experienced being locked inside a toilet, that was.. interesting. LOL

Splurged on UVERworld's single CD and their latest DVD, I can't believe I'm still fangirling at this age. I should cut back on spending too much on CDs and DVDs since I hardly play them (downloads ftw!) but there is always an awesome feeling being able to get your hands on limited edition stuffs. :P

Anyways, the most important update!

On the last Sunday of May 2012, one of my closest friends, @aimihayy got engaged to #MIA (funny, I've not met him!), after like what, almost 8 years of being together?

@yanaLiy as makeup artist for the day, fixing @aimihayy's tudung
So happy for her! :)

Wedding is set end of November, so I wonder how she is feeling right now.

I remember the first time when she broke the news of her engagement and wedding, I almost teared. Wah I think I'm gonna cry at her wedding!

Wait I think I'm gonna cry at ALL of my friends' weddings!

:S

:)

Here are some randoms stuffs:

Tried the hummingbird cake from The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, The Gardens.Usually I'm not fond of the cakes from the coffee chain, but somehow this delighted me! It's not overly sweet, just how I like my cakes to be!

Took my sister to watch The Avengers. It was the third time for me LOL. So happy that she enjoyed it so much! Had dinner at our favourite Korean place:

The manager pretty much remember us and even asked where is my younger sister. Haha. We love that place so much! But I feel like somehow the quality of their kimchi jigae is slowly deteriorating. Hmmm.

This i like, my third punctured tire, in less than 1.5 years after getting my car (check out the first time, happened in PD!). And it was the second time that particular tire got punctured. -_-

I hardly go to Starbucks anymore after discovering this. Costs almost RM8, but keeps me awake better than their crafted beverages. Must be the double shot. But I always have four shots of espresso when I buy drinks from Starbucks. LOL.

Sinful. Sinful. AND EXPENSIVE!

Lovin' the tomato chutney! Had this when I was on my vegetarian month thingie.

Onigiri when I feel like having Japanese food but too stingy/broke to spend in Sushi Zanmai at 1Mont Kiara. The UCC coffee is GOOD! But it's like RM5 for less than 250ml if I'm not mistaken.

yeah. sometimes I just had to.

Aren't they cute! Felt like buying. But no Iron Man or Captain America. Not sure the prices.

Mmmm. The creamy sauce is just so good..
Some Mickey x HSBC thingie going on at Midvalley Megamall. If not mistaken it will be there till 10th of June! Go see!
