To let go or not?

WARNING!
This is NOT an emo post!

The red box above contains a collection of stuff that I had spent splurged on a few years ago. When was it, I can't really remember exactly.

Initially this box came with a gift from Aimi who gave it to me to mark the start of my tertiary education. Since I found the box very useful and I love red, I decided to put some stuff in it.

You can see by the dust that I have not been touching this box for quite a lonngg while. I'm guessing a year or two maybe? Or maybe more..

LOL. Anyways, lo and behold, the items that are in it:

Can guess?

Yup, I basically put all my Orange Range CDs and DVDs into this box.

I think everyone knows that at one time, I was such a superhuge fan of the Japanese band Orange Range, who got my attention with a song used at the end of the movie いま、会いにゆきます (English title: Be With You) starring my favourite Japanese actress Yuko Takeuchi (Pride, Queen of Lunchtime) and her ex-husband Shidou Nakamura (the dude who was the Japanese fighter in Huo Yuan Jia/Fearless).

The song is 花 (Flower, pronounced as Hana), which is the band's fourth single off their second studio album (best-selling album in 2004), musiQ and 8th single.

God knows how may times I used to listen to this song. As soon as I woke up, I had to listen. Like maybe for 5 times before I could start doing anything. And then another 5 times before I go to sleep? And multigazillion times in between.

CDs

singles: Sayonara and UN ROCK STAR. Don't you think the cover for Sayonara is so cute and sweet? :)The MV for this single is sad though.. *sobs*

albums clockwise from top: Squeezed (a remixes album), musiQ, Natural, Orange Range (CD+DVD Japanese version) and Orange Range (Taiwanese version)

Please don't ask me how did I manage to get both versions of their 4th album, Orange Range. Oh wait it must have been the lure of the DVD containing their MVs. LOL. Both Squeezed and the Taiwanese version of Orange Range were bought from Singapore, with the help of Yng Jiun's friend.

DVDs: Video la Contact, Video de Recital, musiQ live DVD from musiQ 005 Live Tour at Makuhari Messe and NATURAL live DVD from NATURAL 005 at Yokohama Arena

I must admit that after I got the DVDs, I regularly watched them especially the live tour DVDs. I can't choose which I like better, the musiQ one or the NATURAL one, cos they both have their pros. For example, musiQ has Katchan (ex-drummer *sobs*) in it! For NATURAL, although it was a smaller venue, it was a really great show!

As for the CDs, I have never played the singles in any CD player so they're sort of super brand new and untouched. :P I listened to NATURAL and musiQ the most, followed by Orange Range and I think I've never touched Squeezed.

The wonders of downloads. :P

ANDAND the photobooks: Blood Orange and Cheese, Butter & Juicymee. I have not touched them for years either. Maybe those I can sell off first. Hmmhmm.

Of course I'm a bit reluctant in letting them go, but since I don't use them that often, better I pass them on to someone/sometwo/somethree/someetc else who is a bigger fan than I am kan?

Yes I admit I'm not such a big fan of Orenji Renji anymore. Although I still plan to go Japan to catch their concert once I'm able to save for it (diediedie now got plans to go Korea must save for that also).

AND I admit that I need some money (although not so desperate but it doesn't hurt to have some extra cash) to buy some things which is listed on the left panel of this blog. Hohoho.

BUT I do not want to simply sell them to just anyone. He/She/They has/have to be an Orange Range FANATIC like I used to be.

Like eat, sleep and breathe Orange Range.

Okay that's a bit extreme but you get what I meanlah.

If I were to go back and read all my previous posts on them I might just start crying and not wanting to let them go.

SO..

I'm still pondering.

*starts singing 2AM's 죽어도 못 보내 (Can't Let You Go Even If I Die) with exaggerated facial expressions and hand gestures ^^*

Orange Fathers

July 21st, 2008
Orange Range vocalist Ryo (22) revealed on his official website that he is married and a father. He says he got hitched in February and they had a baby girl in June, adding that he delayed the announcement because there was a danger his wife might lose the baby. Elder brother and OR bassist Yoh (24) got married in June 2007 and is also a father.

Okay. I was surprised. It is known that Yoh is married already but Ryo???!!! SO suddenly!

Anyways, congratulations to them both, hope their children grow up healthily! =)

Onegai! Senorita~

Compare this:

To this:

The first one is by Aya Matsuura while the second is of course by the original artist, Orange Range.

I must say Aya's rendition is very very entertaining, a breath of fresh air from the rockier original version. I love the original of course, comes in 3 different videos somemore. And the last PVs with Katchan in them. =(

Latest Orange Range PV: Shiawase Neiro

Ahhhhhh~ Although I do not understand this song at all, but the video brought tears to my eyes. *sob sob* I do not have any idea how long-distance relationship works or how it will affect me but I do know the thought of being apart from my sayang is very terrifying! I do not want to go through it at all! =(

I can imagine the anxiety when he does not return my calls or messages, I won't be able to stop worrying his well-being and ah! Of course the endless fears of him ever cheating will come once in a while.....

=( =(

I do not want to be apart from my sayang.

Going UP

The petrol price has indeed increased to RM2.70 starting from the midnight of 5th June 2008.

Unlike all the drivers who zoomed themselves to petrol stations and got themselves queued up in very long lines (which definitely caused traffic jams here and there), my father was not affected by the news at all and chose to stay at home, telling me, "You wait and seela, the petrol stations will sure announce their minyak habis already."

And true enough, during TV3's Buletin Utama, it was announced that some petrol stations claimed that they ran out of petrol.

I was amazed how my father could predict the news, and more amazed when he just shrugged and continued napping when I told him about the news in the evening.

He didn't care. As if he knew that it was going to happen, and everyone should just accept the news and continue living.

Or maybe it's because he barely drives nowadays, that's why he tak kisah.

=P

But I do feel that 78 cents increase is too much, and it happened too fast.

sigh~ I guess now must limit myself from going out so muchla~

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Orange Range has released their latest single titled O2 which also one of the opening theme of an anime called Code Geass.

I love the videolah. It's funny, wacky and hilarious! Wheeee~

In contrast with the other characters in the video, Orange Range's clothes are colourful! And they don't look like they belong to the era the video is set in! Hiroki is so cute with his Speed-like powers (notice that he made the snake gesture before they battle the bad people! Hilarious!), Ryo and Yoh were yeng as usual (i find their abilities the most normal), Naoto with his stoned face and dolls while Yamato's defeat-the-enemies-by-ringing-my-red-bell just proves that one need not move much to eliminate your enemies. Just ring the bell, annoy them and voila~ You win! Of course there's the risk of making your own allies go deaf (Hiroki, Naoto, Ryo and Yoh! The scene where they close the ears! Hahaha.. so funnyleh!)

I felt so happy after watching the vid and i couldn't stop humming to song nowadays. And it was so great to see their performance of the song at the MTV Video Awards Japan 2008!

Wheee~

Orenji Renji.. Hurrah!

Now if they were to make an appearance in MTV Asia Awards scheduled in Genting Highlands this year,

NO ONE IS GOING TO STOP ME FROM ATTENDING THE AWARDS!

君 station!

I guess today is the day where my love for Orange Range was awaken back again!

Was attempting to do microprocessor lab this morning and for some reasons, the PC that i'm using actually has Veoh.

I'm not sure what prompted me to look for some Orange Range videos, i just felt like had to.

And i'm glad i did. Because i found their new video!

*jumps around like a mad fan*

Yesh, it's titled 君 station. At first i was unable to listen along to the song cos the werent any speakers in the lab and none of my friends brought their earphones so i just had to settle down with watching the video only.

The 2 funny covers.

The video started with Naoto making a call to the other members while he was enjoying the setting sun at the beach ( i think invited the others to come and enjoy the sun together if i'm not mistaken) and the scenes that follow were those of Hiroki, Ryo and Yamato running towards his location. Yoh drove there!! Mwahahahahaha..

The video upsetted me a lil at first, cos it gave me a sad feeling.

And now, back at home, i got to listen to the song, and i am quite satisfied with it! I like Yamato's voice in this cos it's not so.. nasally? =P

Thank you Orange Range and i still love you guys!

and i love you! Gimme more!
